Writings and Ramblings of a Life in Maine
Good Morning! WE are having a "wintry Mix' here this AM. You always have a great garden....beautiful flowers and veggies.Maybe we can go to that place....of course I can't think of the name of it. Remember, we saw the "asters of New England" or something like that. I am so anxious for spring this year. Love, Kath
I know. And every spring I think this is the year for a top notch beautiful yard. We do our best, but it's not really ever quite what I had in mind. Either way, I still love it.Have a great day.Sandra
Oh I would love to have a garden (if I can keep things alive) LOL. And yes, you noticed my pin-up. ;) Things just didn't work out. I tried to give it a second chance but we are too different and I think he was trying..just to get me back. I dont think he could ever accept who I was...while I accepted who he was because I know at this age we will never change. I wish him all the best but I need to be me and whoever I end up with (if that's even the case..I may end up the old crazy cat lady) I want that person to see who I am and accept me for who I am and be okay with it (while we both fit into each others world). He tried. I have to give him that. :) The princess post, at the end...that poem fit me so well at the moment and when I mentioned this princess had to fly away for good..that was about me. ;) I was being subtle.
I have decided that certain weeds and grass look ok in my "cottage" style gardens. My older neighbor was over 2 summers ago and pointed to one of my flower gardens and said...isn't that poison oak? Well, I guess that "weed" should go! ; )
Ah yes, a weed-free flower garden...and one you don't have to deadhead, water, etc. Ha! Every year I minimize my flower bed, and think that I would be happy just having pots of flowers. But, I'm finding that I am thinking about adding this year... when will I ever learn? oh well.
HEY FRIEND, WISH YOUR DAUGHTER A BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR ME.SPRING IS VERY, VERY, CLOSE!!!HUGS FROM ME
I have just started a few different plants from seed today, ones I really love. I have never before done anything like that, but, like you, I am so longing for spring that I felt I just had to do something.
