The Final Countdown

Well, in about 24 hours my youngest daughter leaves for ther freshman year at college. I can't believe the time has come so quickly. This past week has flown by and it's almost time to let go. I'm a little sad about her leaving as she keeps me busy and on my toes. I'll miss her so much. Her laugh, sense of humor, her friends popping over and her messy room. ( well, maybe not the messy room). It's going to be a new feel for my husband and I, being alone and all.. but we will manage somehow..:)!! So, here is a look at my messy living room with all Hannah's things laying around waiting to make there new home at college. I'll let you know how an empty nest feels soon.

Change, change, change, oh how I hate it. You are a strong person, and you will adapt, though it might take a bit to readjust. We should plan to do more things together. Here are a few trips we could make...1) Boston, 2)Fitchburg, 3)Antique shopping 4)Christmas Tree Shop, 5) Auctions, and so on. Apple picking, canning, crafting, craft fairs, Common Ground Fair in Unity, etc. Hugs, Kath

I adored watching my eldest son leave for his first week at West Point Military Academy. There is something wonderous about watching your child enter adulthood in all of its glory, its joy and its pain. To see if the life lessons you tried to bestow upon them and knowing full well there will be hurt along teh way. Life is rich in all that it gives all of its children. Good luck to her and hugs to you. Sea Witch

Good luck with this.

Ooohhh, there is certainly something bitter-sweet about a child (especially the youngest) heading off into the great wild yonder on their own. I'm sure she'll excel and do wonderfully though, she has you for a mom after all! :)

Just wanted to pop by and hand-deliver some good news, sweet dear. You (commenter #7), were the winner of my random draw for the super cute Alessi kitchen timer, Tracey! (http://www.chronicallyvintage.com/2009/08/and-winner-of-alessi-kitchen-timer-from.html)

I'm uber thrilled that it will be going to you, my friend! I know that it will be loved at your house! If you'd like to email me any time (jcangiano [at] gmail.com) you fancy with your full name, postal address and which colour of timer you'd like (red, blue or black), I will jet that info off to the fine folks over at AllModern.com, who in turn will mail out the timer to you directly.

Huge congrats on winning, honey, and thank you so very much for entering and helping to make my first giveaway contest such a success!

Oodles of hugs!
♥ Jessica
