"One day your in, the next your out"

I love Project Runway. I don't have cable now, so I am forced to watch 2 days later on the web. I do love it because there are no commericals and I can speed ahead to who is "out".

It never ceases to amaze me about the designers though.. what are they thinking sometimes?? Last week, the girl who made that awful red carpet outfit.. what red carpet was she suppose to be on???? The ghetto carpet?? and Malvin. What exactly was his taste?? I don't know any woman who wants to look like a mother hen with her stomach as her egg?? Who is he kidding?? I have to rant and rave because, I love clothes and wonder where most designers get there ideas. Have they ever asked the everyday size 14 working mother what she would like for clothes or get ideas from her. No, they ask a siz 0 (if that is a size) who doesnt eat, or has mutliple people pampering them. I wish designers would welcome the real world into their creations for woman and really ask them what they want.
Mind you, I'm not talking about photo shots.. or collections. I know that those are suppose to be conceptional and out there.. the designers were asked to make an outfit for a pregnant woman who is a working mom...no nest involved!

This show hasn't been on here yet but I get what you mean!

In my last post, I showed some of Kate Moss's latest Topshop collection where the sizes are supposed to be for real women! (But then she wants them to be be bought by REAL women!)

Great post - hope you're having a great week too!

xxLOLA:)

Lots of hugs!

Adre this show. I couldn't wait until the 6th season began. Glad Malvin the egg carrier was auffed. He was not a forward thinking designer and was a conceptual artist at best. Can't wait for this Thursday's epi. Sea Witch

p.s. I had to delete the first comment, it lost a sentence in the loading.

I LOVE Project Runway! I'm so happy it's finally on again! I couldn't agree with you more, some of these designers are just plain kooky! There are some amazing and talented people on this season, can't wait until Thursday!!

Hugs,

I've never heard about this show. Where have I been? Now my interest is peaked. And like you I don't have cable. I'll have to google it.

Fashion can be so "emperors new clothes" if you know what I mean. Sometimes I think designers do freaky stuff to make you think they know something u don't... but they don't.

I am a total runway fanatic! And you're in Maine? I grew up in Brunswick and my Mom had an antique store in Bath for almost 20 years that just closed its doors. Boo. Looking forward to reading more!
