Hankies have been Hung!

Well, I finally did something with my handkerchiefs. I hung them on the wall that goes up the stairs to my craft room. I bought some simple frames and hung about 10 of them in kind of a quilt inspired design. I'll have to look at them for a while and decide if I want to keep them in the order they are currently in and nit pick about the distance between each one and the level of them all.. but anyone who has ever lived in an old house knows.. there is no such thing as leve!

Next.. all occaison cards....

Lovely paperdolls for crafting

While I was at my sister's house over January vacation and she had a beautiful book filled with crafting ideas. Well, one caught my was making cards out of vintage paperdolls. I found some and will begin my project very soon. I love the victorian look of these dolls and can't wait to turn them into beautiful all occaision cards...will post soon..

Also, had to have the Henry VIII color book and paperdolls. Even after all these years, the mystery and history of that period of England is fastinating. Cant' wait to create and enjoy.

I have to say that my husband and I saw this movie at the theater and I would encourage anyone who is married or in a relationship to rent this when it comes out. You won't regret it... it's a powerful movie about how trusting in the Lord and putting him first in any relationship is the only way to go. Rent it.... watch it..... and use it as a learning tool with your Bible.. it's great!!

Vintage Hankies...

These were my mother's hankies and for as long as I can remember they have been in this lucite box. I remember it on my mothers bureau and looking at them and wondering why they really never got used.
So here's the challenge.. I have these wonderful little pieces of art and really have no idea what to do with them. Any ideas??? I do have 3 in frames that are State handkerchiefs.. Hawaii, Ohio, and Florida. So anything other than framing would be helpful. Thanks all you creative women out there...
