Hubby Away... 2 weeks left.

Well, my husband has been gone for a week and will be home in another two. Trying to keep busy with friends, exercise, crafts, and home stuff. My daughter is busy with her job and getting ready for college, so this is a good trial for me for when she goes off to college next month.

I should be use to his being gone by now. He is in the military and has traveled for work a lot in the past two years. I don't think he has been home a complete year since we got married in 2006, and before that he was gone a lot as well. It's funny, I had the kids to keep me busy before with school, sports, extra-curricular activities and such. Now it's me on my own keeping the house up to par, keeping track of myself and working. A much different scenario. So, I'll show you a map of where he is, but can't say exact due to military reasons.

Another Fesitival !, and an Award

By the end of the summer, you'll think all Maine does all summer long is hold festivals. Well it's true. There seems to be a festival for just about anything. This weekend is the Yarmouth Clam Festival. Yes, a festival to honor the clam! I'll be heading out tomorrow to attend and will try to remember to bring my camera. It's so much fun. There are vendors, food, book sales, food,

fireworks and more food!! (you know what I'll be doing)

Young Love

Today, my daughter Hannah, recieved a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her boyfriend who is at AIT,,that's school for the army.

He is in Missouri for this and misses her very much. To think he thought of her, and all on his own, sent her this beautiful bouquet.

They have had ups and downs, but I think he really loves her very much. Young love is beautiful thing and if nurtured can turn into true, everlasting love.

I know she is young and so is he, but can love really be this strong?Remember Catherine and Heathcliff? Remember Romeo and Juliet?

The Moxie Festival

If your not from the Northeast, you probably haven't hear of the soft drink Moxie. It's humble life started as a medicine. It still has a medicinal taste to it, but I love it!! My kids grew up on it. Really, my kids drank it as children and still love it today.

Well, in Maine, Lisbon, Maine to be exact, there is a whole weekend dedicated to this wonderful, unique soda. Yea, a festival. A parade, fireworks, street vendors, road races... and so on. It's a fun time for all and my daughter and her friends went over the weekend and had a blast.
