January... is it over yet???

Well, it's dead of winter here in Maine and the days are short and the nights are long...January is almost over, but the winter is not. I've tried to get active this winter with buying snowshoes, getting outdoors and exercising. Funny, the winter isn't getting any better. I'm longing for the cool days of spring. Getting my seeds through the mail, planting them and watching them grow. The buds on the trees, the crocus popping through the earth and the days getting slightly longer. Oh spring.. come quickly!!!
Ever see the movie "The Shining"... it's getting like that here...I need a warm place to go and see the sun for at least 5 days in a row... How is your winter going???

Our winter lasted about a week.....unfortunately!!! I guess we wanted the opposite of what we have. I live in the Sunshine state and I've never seen snow. For the first time in years I woke up with ice on my car and was so excited. I know I could not stand the cold weather where you are, but I'd like to see it once. It's 73 degrees here today. Take care.

Hi again--20 minutes? Wow. My Dad worked at BIW for almost 30 years--retired about 4 years ago. He and my Mom had a shop for 18 years on Front Street in Bath called Pollyanna's Antiques. He just closed it. So glad to meet a new Maine friend!

We had a couple of weeks of snow and minus temperatures, unusual in our area. A few hailstones today, then this afternoon a few snowflakes.

Won't be long until spring, February's just around the corner.

Can't wait for the warmer weather to arrive.

Hi Tracy, How about that wind? I can't complain, we have our heaviest work during the frozen months. The summer is nice too! Yeah, free time!

Wow sounds super wintery. It's pretty hot here at the moment. Was supposed to cool down a little, still waiting.

I'm looking forward to spring too. We've had a very cold and wet winter (for Texas). I don't think I could handle Maine. :)

Besides the past couple months flying by.....the winter blahs are here. More snow today. And the power company is turning off our power for 6 hours. SERIOUSLY!
Have a great day.

Tracey! Have missed you! Sorry I haven't been around to visit. Life has been crazy this past week. I can't believe you guys still have that much snow. Ugh. We are actually having a mild winter...well 55 degrees but that's definitely warmer than where you're at. You can come visit me in the warm climate. LOL! Spring will come soon! I can feel it in the air.

Hope you're having a wonderful week!

Lots of love and hugs...

xoxo
