My First Child

Where do the years go? I don't know. I sit here today on my daughter's 26th Birthday. I am in awe at what a wonderful woman she has grown into and how much she continues to surprise me with her talents.
Twenty-six years ago, I was in Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine awaiting the arrival of my firstborn. I was scared and excited at the same time. My mother was there to help me through this and very excited as this would be her first grandchild.

Raising a child is a challenging task. I am thankful for my husband who helped raise my daughter and for the loving extended family who gave Jessica a wonderful childhood and bestowed gifts(even if age inappropriate).. all her life.

Happy Birthday to my wonderful little girl who has grown up to be a fabulous, inspirational, intelligent woman. A village helped raise I am grateful to all those as well!

Happy Birthday to Little Itty Bitty! I remember getting into a car accident, bacause I was in such a rush to get to the hospital to see her newborn face. (luckily no one was hurt)Born in the same city as me, same hospital as me. No Aunt could have a niece as wonderful as mine. She is all you have said and more. Just "don't sing that song".

Your Sista!

PS: I love the way your bedroom came out, expecially your color palette. Nice job, of course.
Pps: How's the pup?
