Veteran's Day

November 11, 2011... It's Veteran's Day. A day to honor those who served and continue to serve our country with military duty. This has always been a special day for me. My father and step-father were both Veterans of WW2, Korean War and Vietnam. They both served over 20 years in the military and deserved to be honored. There influence encouraged me to join the military as well. I served in the Coast Guard and loved the time I served. My husband has also continued to serve as well. He is in the Maine Army National Guard and has served for over 27 years and has done a tour in Iraq. Our military sacrifices a lot and the families of them do too. I am proud to have served my country and to support my soldier who continues to serve.

Happy Veteran's Day to all the Military Personnel out there!!

My husband (veteran) hung our super duper large flag out today! I bought it at a garage sale years ago for around $1.

So grateful for those who have and are doing so to protect us!

Enjoy your beginnings of winter! Lucky you, snow!

Thank you so much for your enduring words of kindness you wrote on my blog! :)
