Kale Soup...a Winter's Delight

I love making soups in the winter time.. this was one made out of pure imagination. I used what I had on hand and came up with this wonderful, tasty winter soup. Hope you enjoy.. Oh, and that cast iron dutch oven,,,my Christmas present from my daughter,,,my new love of my kitchen!!
First, wash and cut the tough stalks from the Kale
Then, saute onions, garlic and carrots in olive oil..

Next, I added a bag of field bean from my freezer with green beans..
Some turkey kielbasa for some protein in the soup.. cut into bite size pieces. Add some chicken broth and let simmer
My New Dutch Oven...simmering with hearty, good-for-you soup!

The finished product,,,yummy!!!

Use your imagination when you create dinner.. head to your cupboards, freezer and fridge for a chance on making something new and delicious..Good Luck!!

Oh this looks so yummy, Tracey! And that DUTCH OVEN! I want one so bad. :) I love the look of your blog. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season. I feel like I sorta have a "hangover" from it all..not literally but as far as straggling decorations, etc. Lol! I'm being lazy about taking them down but I have to. I have been a crocheting maniac lately and I will post my creations soon. We just had two snowstorms but we survived. I'm dreaming of Spring and warmer weather though.

Lots of love and hugs...Michelle, Quincy and Emma. xoxo
