Feeling like Fall

Can it be that fall is here already? School has started, leaves are changing and the weather is getting cooler. Yes, Fall is upon us here in Maine. I love the weather as it gets cooler, but this Fall brings a little bit different time for me. I'm going through a change and it's hard to get use to. My days are very different right now. I am getting through each day with my new schedule and trying to fill each day with new things.
I have been trying to do a new thing each week. Sundays are the worst. After church my days are empty. So, this week I am running a 5K race and going to work. Next Sunday I already have plans and then the week after, I am going to find something new to do. Something that I've never done before or it's been a long time since I have...such as, hiking, biking, doing the wine trail here in Maine, a Beer Festival the end of the month... something to keep me busy on what is usually a very depressing day.

Getting Better

Since I made a schedule, things are getting better. I'm getting done the things that I really need to get done and it makes me feel like I've really accomplished something. What I did was put a white board on my fridge and made a list of what things I really needed to get accomplished every day.
Exercise, Bible Study, Homework, Walk my dogs, Craft and so on. These are the things that I know I needed to get done every day to feel like I was actually doing something and getting things done.
I'm really feeling pretty good these days.

I'm going to be running my first 5K race next Sunday with my daughter and feel like this is a small step to better health and better image for myself. I've struggled with weight and the image that it does on me. I've lost 27 pounds so far and have a hard time seeing the difference. I am hoping that by running this 5K it will help me realize that I am changing and my health is getting better and that I am changing for the better.

These next few weeks will be a challenge,, but I am up for a new adventure and continue to work towards a better me!!!
